Game of Thrones is getting three separate spinoffs to be developed by HBO. The American Fantasy drama series created by David Benioff and D.B Weiss for HBO ran for 8 seasons over 8 years and broadcasting 73 episodes along the way.
Game of Thrones is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels by George R.R Martin.
The television network is currently developing three prequel spin offs for Game of Thrones, which is set before the original show takes place with its plot, telling the stories of all the characters who were prominent in the TV show.
The Game of Thrones spinoff prequels currently being worked on already have working titles and go by the names 10,000 Ships, Flea Bottom, and 9 Voyages.
The Game of Thrones spinoffs have only been named for now though, being in the early stage of development and do not have showrunners or writers attached. However, they are all based on the vast lore series created by George R.R Martin within the history of the Westeros
The first Game of Thrones spinoff, 9 Voyages also titled Sea Snake, is being helmed by Rome and Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller. The plot of this spinoff will focus on Lord Corlys Velaryon, who is actually the Sea Snake, Lord of the Tides and head of House Velaryon. This spinoff show will talk about his journeys by sea.
The other Game of Thrones spinoff, Flea Bottom, will revolve around the story of the district of Flea Bottom itself, which is the poorest district in King’s Landing and is home to cutthroats and brothels. The district is home to characters like Davos Seaworth and Gendry Baratheon from the show.
The third possible spinoff for Game of Thrones is “10,000 ships”. The plot is centered around Princess Nymeria who goes on a journey to Dorne where she marries Lord Mors Martell.
There is a possibility that Game of Thrones may also get an animated drama series. However, no details have arisen on the subject or style of this animated project.
