When Rihanna launched her skincare line, Fenty, last summer, the internet lost its mind with the popstar turning into a beauty mogul. Introducing all-inclusive makeup products that boasted forty foundation shades, the singer went one step further by launching a gender-neutral skincare line.
From cleanser, pore-refining toner serum, eye cream, overnight recovery cream and a moisturiser with SPF for the daytime, the range of Fenty products made waves.
Bringing the best of best, Rihanna posted a commercial to promote her newest product – Flash Nap Fenty Skin Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream, on Sunday, launching on February 12.
The singer and entrepreneur, 32, is seen standing in front of a mirror and applying a two-in-one eye cream and concealer primer made with horse chestnut, hyaluronic acid, Persian silk tree, and green tea. The eye-gel helps you “fake a nap” by brightening and reducing the puffiness of the skin around your eyes.
In the commercial, Rihanna explains that the goal is to get a well-rested look even if you barely sleep, as she applied the product. The singer also shows how to use an optional mini eye-massage tool to enhance the application of the cream-gel.
Talking about her new launch, Rihanna said, “I wanted to create the perfect starter eye cream — with easy-to-use packaging, a formula that would tackle puffiness and dark circles, and work really well with makeup to look fresh all day.”
Adding, “It had to feel lightweight, soothe the skin, and revitalize — and let me tell you, IT DOES.”
The Flash Nap Fenty Skin Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream is priced at $32, and to look like you’ve just awoken from a replenishing repose, one can add on a $10 cooling mini eye-massager tool, the Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream + Eye Massage Tool. You can officially purchase it on sephora.com and fentyskin.com on February 12.
It’s been three years since Rihanna dropped an album and enthusiastic fans have been waiting for the hitmaker to release her next album, R9. In an interview for the May issue of British Vogue, Rihanna said, “I can’t say when I’m going to drop… but I am very aggressively working on music.”
While Rihanna does tease fans about R9, she added, “There are no rules, there’s no format, there’s nothing. There’s just good music and if I feel it, I’m putting it out. I feel like I have no boundaries. I’ve done everything. I’ve done all the hits, I’ve tried every genre. Now I’m just, I’m wide open. I can make anything that I want.”
