The BET Awards 2020 were held on June 28 and it turned out to be a remarkable day for fashion enthusiasts. Our favourite celebs bewitched us with their looks and proved that, Red Carpet or no Red Carpet, our queens are here to slay!
Here are our favourite looks from the virtual award show:
Beyonce made quite an impression in her acceptance video and we couldn’t take our eyes off her! The singer looked splendid, wearing a black strapless bustier with her hair sleeked down. The look was completed to perfection with a crystal choker and subtly glam make up. Queen B for a reason, people!
Comedian by profession and host for the evening, Amanda Seales served some unforgettable looks! The virtual event allowed the hostess to change in and out of outfits quickly. The pink faux fur jacket with a matching bandana, the black mesh dress, the metallic balloon sleeved gown were all dazzling. But what especially caught the eye was her oversized Black Lives Matter jersey, topped with golden hoops and a black hat. Way to go, girl!
The young star played it simple and cool, wearing a bright yellow dress which complimented her newly highlighted golden locks. She kept the makeup low-key and accessorized her look with clear glasses.
Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion won the accolade for the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and in style! The Savage singer went for a black cut-out dress, classic deep red lips and dark eye make-up with long, winged lashes.
Hudson made heads turn as she delivered a powerful performance of her song Young, Gifted, and Black. She donned a dark green velvet gown with her hair rolled up and wore bold make-up. The statement neckpiece topped the look.
For her performance, Keys went all black. The singer looked every bit stunning in a long black leather jacket worn over a bandeau tube top. With her hair tightly held back, she completed the look with classic golden hoop earrings.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee opted for bold and classy as she wore a white polka-dotted outfit with long golden danglers and aced the look with some hot-pink lip pigment.
Hats-off to these ladies for always setting trends, not only with their fashion choices but also with their tremendous work.
