Janhvi Kapoor And Vicky Kaushal Turned Showstoppers For Lakme Fashion Week And We Are Beyond Mesmerized!

While Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal starrer Karan Johar’s period drama, Takht, is yet to release, we got a peek at the electric chemistry the duo shared when they walked the ramp for the opening show of “20 Years of Lakme Fashion Week 2020” in Mumbai on 11th February. And to say that the dashing and beautiful couple shared insane chemistry on the ramp would be putting it mildly.

Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal walked the ramp decked in outfits designed by designers Kunal Rawal and Rahul Mishra respectively and ushered the beginning of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week 2020, which will be taking place from February 12th to February 16th.

Time to gush over what the handsome duo was wearing as they practically dazzled everyone!

Janhvi Kapoor was dressed in Rahul Mishra designed tropical-themed sleeveless aqua gown, complete with intricate thread work detailing and had a flowy silhouette. had intricate thread work that had all the eyes set on her. Her look was further complimented by her minimal makeup, long locks let down in curls, nude lip shade, mascara, a statement choker, and oh, loads of oomph plus confidence she brought with herself!

The designer of her beautiful dress, Rahul Mishra, took to Instagram to share how his collection, flaunted by Janhvi on the ramp, was inspired by his recent trip to the Maldives.

“On a recent trip to Soneva Fushi (@discoversoneva) – Maldives, as I submerged myself quite literally, into an unfamiliar world, a series of stark realisations dawned upon me. Mesmerised by the million shades of blue, the ever-changing abstract shapes made up of a diaspora of fish, the alienesque under-water foliage and the striking corals, it was a mammoth task to register the beauty unfolding before me – an experience that was equal parts surreal and humbling,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Our collection, ‘Home’ saw an incessant reminder of the beauty that our planet beholds as a key inspiration for many looks that walked the runway,” he added.

Not one to be beaten at the glam game, Vicky Kaushal balanced Janhvi Kapoor’s subtle look by donning on a monochrome ensemble made of an Aztec patterned back and white long shirt with a black jacket and pants by designer Kunal Rawal.

Vicky Kaushal will be soon seen in Bhoot- The Haunted Ship: Part One, due to release on February 21st.
