Selena Gomez has been making rounds in New York City these days, clad in bright and impeccable ensembles. If you are wondering why – the Rare singer has been tapped as the co-lead opposite Steve Martin and Martin Short in Hulu’s comedy series ‘Only Murders in the Building’.
On Monday, the singer and actress was photographed in two outfits on New York City’s Upper West Side. She dropped another winter ensemble look, on Tuesday morning.
Dressed for style in autumnal colours, the 28-year-old singer wore a vintage-inspired offering by Michael Kors – a burnt orange bolero jacket that was left open over a banana yellow top, and teamed it up with a pair of boot cut plaid slacks.
Selena Gomez accessorized her retro look with sturdy brown lace-up military boots, a bright yellow beanie, and chunky headphones as she faced the camera.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ marks Selena Gomez’s acting return to television, where she first rose to fame as the star of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place.
Giving another bright fall look, Justin Bieber’s ex wore a cherry red jumpsuit with a long cream coat over her shoulders. The actor completed her look with tan boots.
Returning back to her boot cut plaid slacks, Selena Gomez, on Tuesday, was spotted wearing a fake fur teddy jacket with a neon green face mask on.
Revealing details about the show’s premise during an interview with The Daily Beast in August, Martin Short said that the show was tentatively set to start filming in the fall.
“It’s about three people who live in one of those upscale apartment buildings in New York. They see each on the elevator, they kind of nod, but they never really speak,” he continued.
“They don’t even know each other’s names. And then you find out that each one of them goes to their individual apartments and just turns on true crime and obsesses. Then one time they’re in the elevator with this fourth person. And they find out that the fourth person is killed and they’re determined to solve it. But they make a pact: only murders in the building will they solve. Because they can’t be bothered to go outside.”
No official release date of the series has been announced yet, and the project is following strict COVID-19 guidelines with frequent testing.
Currently, the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ crooner who has previously dated Justin Bieber and The Weeknd insisted that she is ‘totally cool’ with being single.
“I am single – and I’m totally cool with that. There are a lot of positives to being single, and it’s about enjoying them when you’re in that (the 20s) stage of life,” said Selena Gomez at the virtual Teen Vogue Summit.
The actress also ruled out the idea of turning to dating apps to find love.
