Zendaya and Tom Holland are setting couple goals once again. On Monday evening, the actors couldn’t keep their hands off each other at the Ballon d’Or 2021 awards ceremony at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
The annual event, organized by France Football, celebrates the best men and women’s football players with voting cast by journalists from around the world. Dressed to impress for the special occasion, Zendaya and Tom Holland stepped out in stunning ensembles, leaving fans with wide smiles.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home actress, 25, turned heads in a high-fashion, open-back number at the Ballon d’Or photo call in Paris on Monday.
She opted for a floor-length black Roberto Cavalli dress that featured a classic boat neckline and elbow-length sleeves. But the real showstopper was her statement-making back. Zendaya’s dress consisted of a gold metal structure to look like a human spine, spread across an open back and accented with thin gold chains. The man behind this spectacular is iconic fashion designer Fausto Puglisi.
“I love Zendaya since day ONE! ❤️ I re edited this frock for My girl ! Custom made for a Queen! ❤️I’m in Heaven! ✨Beyond! ✨✨ ZENDAYA IN CAVALLI! @luxurylaw 🤍 @zendaya 🤍 @roberto_cavalli by #faustopuglisi” Puglisi wrote on Instagram, alongside a close-up of the detailed back.
Zendaya accentuated her look with thick gold hoop earrings and 4 inches Christian Louboutin pumps.
On the other hand, Tom Holland looked dapper in a black tuxedo and black-rimmed glasses.
This isn’t the first time that Zendaya has caught the attention of fashion police. Earlier this month, she became the youngest recipient ever of the highly coveted Fashion Icon award at the 2021 CFDA Awards.
The Council for Fashion Designers of America explained on Instagram at the time that Zendaya’s “journey to Fashion Icon superstar happened at supersonic speed.”
“Time and again, she has proven that she is unafraid to take risks – from betting on newer talents like Peter Do to working with established houses like Valentino and, as was the case at last night’s London premiere of Dune, Rick Owens,” the non-profit (which supports emerging designers and students through grants and scholarship opportunities) continued. “With her creative counterpart @LuxuryLaw, #Zendaya has given fans and fashion followers worldwide a seemingly countless number of glamorous red carpet looks to remember.”
Upon her winning the award, Tom Holland gushed over his girlfriend writing: “Naaa stop it. An incredible achievement for the most incredible person,” he said at the time, adding, “Congrats @zendaya and @luxurylaw you guys deserve every bit of this.”
