“A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life,” said Coco Chanel, and it seems true for Gigi Hadid, who stepped out in New York City for the first time since news broke that she and Zayn Malik split.
Back in March, Gigi Hadid swapped her more natural shade for a fiery red hue in which she rocked her look at Met Gala. However, the model is in for yet another change.
The 26-year-old has switched reds for barbie like blonde. Gigi Hadid was spotted in the Big Apple with sister Bella Hadid on Monday, November 22. She wore a red Versace jumpsuit with a black turtleneck peeking out. The California native, who shares 14-month-old daughter Khai with Malik, 28, donned a black face covering, matching black beanie, and boots as she got into an SUV.
The new-look comes after Gigi Hadid debuted auburn locks and dramatic bangs via Instagram recently.
Meanwhile, post her breakup with Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid’s holiday season will look alot more different with her daughter.
Gigi’s planning on spending at least Thanksgiving with her mom Yolanda Hadid and her siblings, Bella Hadid, and Anwar Hadid.
“With everything going on, Gigi knows the holidays won’t be the same this year as they were last,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Gigi loved celebrating with her whole family together, Zayn included. But now that they’ve split, she doesn’t know exactly how that will look.”
“She’s planning on celebrating Thanksgiving with her mom at the Pennsylvania farm, the insider continued. “Bella and Anwar plan on being there too. Gigi loves cooking at Thanksgiving and she just wants to be surrounded with family. Zayn hasn’t asked about plans for Thanksgiving yet, so Gigi is going to move forward with her own plans for her and Khai and if Zayn reaches out, then she’s not opposed to him seeing her.”
Post Zayn’s altercation with Gigi Hadid’s mother, a rep for Gigi issued a brief statement to E!, following reports coming out about Malik and Yolanda’s alleged dispute. The rep said Gigi “is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”
Malik, meanwhile, denied having any physical contact with Yolanda and said in a statement that “I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.”
Keeping in mind the above-mentioned details, “Gigi would never keep Khai away from her father, and she’s being really mature about this whole thing,” the insider added. “So if Zayn has plans on spending the holidays with Khai, or even as a family, she’s not opposed to that. But she’s strictly focused on co-parenting and not on rekindling anything romantic.”
