Harry Styles’ Retro Gucci Suit At The BRIT Awards 2021 Wins The Red Carpet

From groovy suits, pussy-bow blouses, to whatnot, Harry Styles fashion is unparalleled, given the fact that he can pull off anything. That makes the world’s greatest designers want to dress him. And so, while the stars gathered at the 2021 BRIT Awards in London, Harry Styles, like always, made a statement true to his style, sporting a bold Gucci Aria suit paired with the brands archival bamboo bag in hand. 

Staying true to his own aesthetic, Harry Styles cut a retro look in a ’70s inspired double-breasted checked suit that featured pleated flared pants. Underneath, he wore a slightly unbuttoned shirt in a complimentary shade.

Giving it a modern twist, Styles paired the Gucci suit with gum-sole sneakers to give a more laidback feel, and accessorised the look with a fistful of rings.

Harry Styles made his Gucci debut by becoming its face in 2018. The pop star’s solo career took an upward turn in the echelons of style with the brand’s collaboration that has made him an fashion icon on red carpets and magazine covers. One that tears down gender norms. 

Talking about gracing gender-agnostic portfolio, Styles told Variety how “exciting” it to experiment with inclusive fashion. “To not wear [something] because it’s females’ clothing, you shut out a whole world of great clothes,” Styles told Variety of the fashion moment. “And I think what’s exciting about right now is you can wear what you like. It doesn’t have to be X or Y. Those lines are becoming more and more blurred.” 

Speaking about how Harry’s style has become an inspiration in the recent years, Nadhila, who has been a part of the team behind the Twitter account @HSNewsUpdate since 2011 said, “There are no boundaries on what he might come up with, so fans are always excited to see what look [Harry] might step out in next.”

“He has inspired us to be bold, unique and unafraid to experiment when it comes to fashion,” she adds. “He has shown us that there is no such thing as too feminine or too masculine, we can be both and we can be ourselves.”

The One Direction alum, 27, won his second BRIT, taking home British single of the year for “Watermelon Sugar” from his second studio album, Fine Line.
