Dua Lipa will be missing out on this year’s edition of fashion’s biggest night Met Gala. Wondering why? – the songstress is currently working on her big-screen acting debut as an actress.
The “Levitating” singer is filming for the upcoming action thriller Argylle where she will be co-starring alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood: Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, Bryan Cranston, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Sam Rockwell, Catherine O’Hara, just to name a few. The shooting of the film — directed by Matthew Vaughn of ‘Kingsman’ fame is currently taking place in the UK.
Although Dua Lipa might not be bringing her trendsetting style this year, apart from her movie, she has her kitty is full.
Dua Lipa has enjoyed a special relationship with the fashion giant Versace, who even dressed her for the 2019 Met Gala. The singer stars in the label’s fall ’21 campaign, which launched yesterday.
In the ads, Lipa can be seen wearing Versace’s sky-high platform boots and heels. In one look, she pairs the popular Medusa pumps with a jacquard skirt and crop top in the La Greca pattern, which features a geometric design with sharp angles and clean lines.
“Life is but a dream…,” Lipa posted on Instagram of her latest campaign. “Thank you @donatella_versace @versace for believing in me!!! So much love for this incredible team who worked so hard to put this together!”
For the campaign, Dua Lipa has also experimented with her hairstyle, this time going for long lengths that contrast against micro-bangs. She even coloured her hair ginger red.
While we will miss Dua Lipa at the big night, we can’t contain our excitement for all that we are about to witness at the Gala, which will feature HUGE names. Read on to know more about the event.
