Zendaya was a vision at the Paris Fashion Week as she attended the Valentino Fall/Winter 2022 fashion show in a striking head-to-toe monochrome ensemble.
The new face of the Maison wore a neon pink double-breasted blazer which was embroidered with floral appliqués, matching pants, and a plunging shirt in the same shade. Zendaya’s Valentino Garavani platform heels matched her fuchsia hue ensemble that tied her entire outfit together. To complete her look, she wore a soft, pink-toned makeup look with dramatic black eyeliner and left her copper-colored locks open, parted at the center.
“Pink is the color of love, community, energy and freedom,” read a message shared from the brand’s official Instagram account before the show on Sunday, March 6. “@zendaya gives us an exclusive look at the rose-colored, monochrome world of the Maison’s latest collection, revealed today in Paris.”
In October, Zendaya spoke to InStyle about her connection to Valentino.
“I’ll tell you what the coolest thing is,” she said about wearing their couture gowns for events. “When [Valentino creative director] Pierpaolo [Piccioli] comes up with these beautiful silhouettes for me to wear, he has my name stitched on a little tag inside. So all my custom Valentino pieces have a little ‘Zendaya’ on them.”
“He’s been wonderful to share creative space with,” she continued. “He’s always like, ‘I want you to be who you are. What makes you feel good and confident? I want you to do that.’ I appreciate that because it is Valentino, after all. It’s not a small deal.”
She also addressed what she’d tell her younger self on her first-ever red carpet.
“Keep doing what you’re doing,” she said. “When I was 14 and at my first movie premiere, my outfit was a bunch of stuff that I had from Target. And I thought I was fly. I felt cool. To this day, I think that’s really all that matters. Then you know you’re doing the right thing.”
When it comes to fashion, Zendaya’s sartorial triumphs are the one to remain etched in the memory. She stunned in a literal spiderweb dress at the premiere of Spider-Man and her sculptural gown at the premiere of Dune was no less.
