The Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan has revealed her baby’s name and shared pictures of her baby boy on her Instagram on Thursday. Vanessa Morgan and estranged husband Michael Kopech welcomed their first baby last month. The star had also announced the news of her pregnancy via Instagram.
On Thursday, she posted a picture of the baby’s hand which was wrapped in a hospital ribbon with bears printed on it resting on her chest. Vanessa Morgan’s baby’s name is River and she announced it via the post on her IG. “The most challenging, beautiful experience of my life. On January 29th, Michael & I Welcomed our beautiful baby boy River into the world,” she wrote on the post.
She also expressed her and Michael’s emotions on welcoming River into their life and how thankful they were to God for this feeling. She further wrote, “Words cannot describe this kind of love.”
“We are enjoying this time home with him, being present, & giving him all the lovin in the world🤍👶🏼 Becoming parents is the most rewarding gift in the entire world. Thankyou God. 🙏🏽 Isaiah 66:9.”
Fans and Friends filled the comment section of the actress’s post with warm wishes. Lili Reinhart, her Riverdale co-star wrote, “His aunts and uncles can’t wait to meet him!!”
Vanessa Morgan also revealed her reason behind naming her baby boy River, via her Instagram stories. She wrote, “Early on in my pregnancy I was walking the River everyday, gave me so much peace I knew that was the perfect name for his lil soul. Plus Michael & I really wanted a nature name.”
She also gave another reason for his name and posted a picture of the nursery with “River” written on the wall with bright neon lights.
Vanessa and Michael are currently divorced and the news broke out just before she announced her pregnancy. Kopech filed for divorce on June 19, from the actress and also took a break from playing for the Chicago White Sox.
“Michael has kept a low profile since opting out of the 2020 season back in July,” a Chicago White Sox spokesperson said in a February 2 statement while talking to US Weekly. “As of today, he is not scheduled to address the media until pitchers and catchers report in a few weeks.”
Vanessa Morgan announced the baby’s arrival back on July 24, 2020, with no mention of Kopech and wrote on her Instagram, “Exciting news. I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January. This little guy has already brought me so much happiness and a feeling of such a greater purpose. I cannot wait to meet you!!… Lil one you were made with so much love & already exude a light so strong it warms my belly. Thank you God for this blessing ☺️ I’m just so happy & can’t wait to dedicate everyday to being the best mommy I can be ♥️.”
