Sophie Belinda Turner was born in Northampton, England to Sally Turner, a nursery teacher and Andrew Turner who worked for a pallet distribution company.
Turner owes her first role to her high school drama teacher who coaxed her to audition for the role of Sansa Stark when she was only 14. Appearing in all eight seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones (2011-2019), the actress had earned herself acclamation and a big name.

A small town girl, Sophie Turner moved to Chersterton in Warwickshire, England when she was only 2 years old. Growing up, she lived in a large Edwardian house near Leamington spa and in an interview with The Telegraph, the actress said, “My childhood was pretty fun. We had pigsties, barns and a paddock, and used to muck around in the mud.”
